Q: When did the hotel open?


A: Hotel Maywood has opened in October 2009

Q: At what time can I check in and at what time do I have to check out?


A: The earliest check in time is 14:00 pm. If there are available rooms for the guests before the time we mentioned above, our reception staff will help you for sure. The latest check out time is 12:00 pm. For the late check out regulations, please contact to the reception desk.


Q: Are there safety deposit boxes available in the hotel?


A: Yes there are electronic safety boxes in our rooms for free of charge. They have space for 14 inc. laptops.


Q: Is there a shuttle service available to the airport?

Q: How can I change or cancel a reservation?


A: You can use our login system in the reservation page and cancel or modify your reservation.


Q: Why is my credit card needed to make a reservation?


A: We need your credit card details just for the guarantee of your reservation. Your credit card will not be charged unless you do not cancel your reservation within the cancellation period. You can cancel your reservation free of charge till 2 days before than your arrıval date.After that we will charge oneday penalty for each room to your credit card.

Q: How to get from Istanbul Airport to Istanbul City Center by bus?


A: Two bus companies provide transportation from and to Istanbul International Airport: Havaist Buses and IETT public buses. However, since IETT buses mostly serve less popular areas of the city, only Havaist services offer a direct connection to the famous Sultanahmet. Therefore, you can always take the IETT H-2 or H-9 buses, but you will need to use other bus and metro lines to reach your final destination. On the other hand, the luxury Havaist buses with the number iSt-20 will drop you off at Sultanahmet Square bus stop (just a breath away from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque) in about 100 minutes (depending on traffic congestion).


Havaist buses run every 30 minutes (every 45 minutes in the early morning) and around the clock, and the ticket costs just 18₺ (2.8€ / 3.1$).


The bus terminal is located on the -2 airport floor. In this area, you can buy an Istanbulkart, which is valid for all public transportation, including public toilets. You can also pay with your credit card through the Havaist app or book your tickets in advance and download a QR code. Cash is not accepted.


Q: How can I come to the hotel from the Ataturk Airport?


A: By Tram: You arrive in the International Arrivals terminal, purchase your visa, pass through Immigration (passport) and Customs control. Exit the secure Customs area, turn right and walk to the end of the terminal watching for signs to the Hafif Metro (“Light Rail System”).


Stop along the way to get some Turkish Liras from currency exchange offices or cash machines (ATMs) in the Arrivals hall. No matter how you plan to travel into the city, you will need some local currency.


Go down the escalator, through the sliding glass doors, turn right and follow the Hafif Metro/Light rail system signs along the broad underground concourse to the Havalimanı (Airport) Metro station on the left at the end. This concourse beneath the parking garage connects the Domestic and International terminals.


Buy one or two Metro tokens (jeton) at the booth. You’ll need two tokens to travel from Atatürk Airport to Gulhane Stop where the hotel is located. Ride to Zeytinburnu from the Ataturk Airport, where you have to transfer to the Zeytinburnu-Kabataş tram for the ride to the hotel at Gulhane Stop.

  • Continue straight to stay on Kennedy Cd 1.7 km

  • Turn right at Ahırkapı Sk 92 m
  • Turn right at Şadırvan Sk 42 m
  • Şadırvan Sk turns left and becomes İshak Paşa Cd 350 m

Q: Is car parking service available?


A: Yes we have private parking place and garage near to the hotel. It is costed 10 eu for our guests.

A: Swimming pool, sauna, fitness center will be available soon and will be charged extra.


Q: Is the tap water safe for drinking?


A: No it’s not drinkable. But we can have drinking water in the Minibar to our guest room.

A: Our hotel is located in the old city in a touristic area where the closest police station is within 5 minutes walking distance. And Tourism information desk is just 2 minutes walking distance away. It is known as the most secure part of the city.

Q: Do you have connecting rooms for a family?


A: No There is no any connection room from our hotel.

A: Yes, we have a crib and it is free of charge. If you would like us to put a crib in your room, please let us know in advance, when you make your reservation.

A: Most of the rooms are non-smoking.


Q: Children and extra bed policy?


A: One Children under 2 years stays free of charge in a baby cot.one children under 6 years stay free of charge when using exiting beds.One older child or adult is charged Eur 25 per night and person in an extra bed.
